The training was designed and conducted for the regional narcology centers staff, NGO activists from several cities and regions of Kazakhstan to train participants in gender-sensitive approaches to the organization of services in the OST program. This training discussed the specifics of providing services considering the reproductive and sexual health of OST clients, as well as the importance of introducing gender-sensitive services in the OST program. Based on the results of the two-day work, a single advocacy message has been formulated to move from gender-blind programs in harm reduction programs to gender-transformational ones.

On October 12-13, 2015 the training in gender aspects in the OST program took place in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The event was organized by the CAAPLHIV, UN-Women with the participation of the Kazakhstan Union of PLWH.
