Organizers of the event module "HIV Infection and Infection Control" KazNMU named by. S.D. Asfendiyarov, the Red Crescent Society of the RK, volunteers of PF "Trust Plus", the Center for AIDS Prevention and Control in Almaty conducted it with the aim of attract public attention, medical students to the problem of HIV infection, also reduce the negative impact of stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV.

Before the meeting, the head of the module "HIV Infection and Infection Control" KazNMU Zh. Nugmanova, President of the "Trust" Plus R. Oleinikova. Participants in a sign of solidarity with people involved in the HIV epidemic, to the music made KVILT, symbolizing memory.

Within the framework of the event, a poster competition "We are against stigma" was held among students. The best works are awarded with prizes. During the action, a mobile laboratory was working, those who could after psychosocial counseling undergo anonymous rapid HIV testing. Also, participants received information materials on HIV prevention and could ask questions to people living with HIV.
