Kazakh stars played football with journalists in memory of those who died of AIDS

May 12, 2015 in Almaty on the territory of the sports complex "OlzhaSports" a blitz tournament on mini football took place between the national teams of the media and entertainers of the variety, cinema and television of Kazakhstan. The event is dedicated to the International Day of Memory, who died of AIDS, under the motto "I Remember! I understand! I act!».

The honorable guest of the match is the legend of Kazakhstan sport, Vice President of the Football Federation of Kazakhstan Seilda Baishakov.

In a friendly match, a team of journalists won with a score of 3: 2. The best player of the match was recognized as singer Abdulkarim Karimov, "Best scorer" - journalist of "Almaty" Bakhytzhan Nurpeisov, "Best goalkeeper" - Anuar Karbozov ("Almaty" TV channel).

The organizers of the action were the State Fund of Youth Policy of Almaty, the Republican AIDS Center, the Kazakhstan Union of People Living with HIV, the Central Asian Association of PLWH, the USAID Flagman Project on HIV in Central Asia (PSI), the AIDS Center in Almaty.

The purpose of the Action is to preserve the memory of those whose lives the AIDS epidemic has taken, to attract the attention of the public and especially young people to the problem of stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV (PLHIV), to give an opportunity to think that this problem can affect everyone. Therefore, people should take responsibility for their own health and that of their loved ones. Stopping the epidemic and reversing it can be a complex of measures: prevention, ensuring access to treatment for all who need it, combating stigma and, of course, actively drawing public attention to the problem of HIV infection.
