Members of the delegation from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan met with colleagues from the All-Ukrainian Network of PLWH, got acquainted with the experience of the USAID / RESPECT project on reducing the stigma and discrimination of PLHIV, successful advocacy cases - expanding access to treatment, participating in reforming the health system, protecting patient rights , as well as with the concept of a new strategy for the development of the Network.

On the second day of the visit, members of the Central Asian Association of PLWH visited the Kiev branch of the PLHIV Network and the pilot medical institutions of the RESPECT project: the Kiev city center for AIDS control and prevention, the regional skin and venereal dispensary, and the regional clinical hospital. Meetings with doctors, social workers, representatives of public organizations were held. The participants got acquainted with the algorithm of involving patients in testing and treatment, work on overcoming stigma and discrimination of PLHIV, interaction between medical institutions.
