The purpose of the trip is to study the experience of implementation of harm reduction programs in the framework of state programs and strategies at the national and municipal levels, as well as state financing of harm reduction programs and financing mechanisms for non-profit organizations for the implementation of non-medical services in the framework of such programs. The host party is the office in Iran of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Office on Drug Control of Iran. The trip was financed by the Eurasian Harm Reduction Network (EHRN, Lithuania) within the framework of the Regional Harm Reduction-Operate Financing! Program, implemented by EHRN in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region with funds from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The delegation visited the Iranian Counter Narcotics Office, the Khaneh Doust Yaran Men's Treatment Center, the State Social Security Office and other institutions.
