Roundtable on stigma and discrimination

December 12, 2014 in Almaty hosted a roundtable discussion on the problems of stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV in the city of Almaty and Almaty region.

The roundtable was attended by representatives of international, governmental and non-governmental organizations, including USAID, UNAIDS, the Department of Health Almaty, Almaty AIDS Center, ALE "Central Asian Association of People Living with HIV", ALE "Kazakhstan Union of PLHIV", PF "Trust plus" and others. Participants discussed the timely treatment of HIV infection, ARVs access for migrants, the problem of access to treatment for people living with HIV and discrimination in the health system, as well as the activities of the Community Council Patients Kazakhstan.

According to the results of the round table adopted a resolution.
